Terms of Service Agreement

Welcome to Woolsy, the ultimate crafting companion and project management application. These Terms of Service ("Agreement") establish the legal framework governing your use of the Woolsy mobile application and associated services (collectively, the "Services").

Important Notice: By downloading, installing, or using Woolsy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you must immediately cease using the application and uninstall it from your device.

Section 1: Application Overview and Service Description

1.1 Application Features

Woolsy is a comprehensive crafting platform that provides:

• Smart PDF Patterns: Tools to transform static PDF patterns into interactive, step-by-step formats.
• Stash Manager: Tracking functionality for your yarn, hooks, needles, and supplies.
• Counters & Project Logs: Built-in row/round counters and seamless progress tracking.
• Pattern Library: Organization and storage for your digital crafting space.
• Unit Converter: Quick conversions for hook sizes, weights, and measurements.
• Learn & Master: Basic curated tutorials for beginners and refreshers.

1.2 Service Availability

Woolsy is available for iOS devices via the official Apple App Store. Certain features (such as processing new PDFs) may require an active internet connection, and availability may vary by region due to local regulations or technical limitations.

1.3 Version Updates

We regularly release updates to enhance functionality, security, and user experience. You are encouraged to maintain the latest version for optimal performance and security.

Section 2: User Eligibility and Registration Process

2.1 Age Requirements

Woolsy is designed for users aged 13 years and older. Users between 13–18 years (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) must obtain parental or guardian consent before using the application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

2.2 Account Creation

Woolsy may require an account or automatically create a unique profile for each user based on device information and identifiers. Data is primarily tied to your specific device, though anonymous onboarding preferences may be stored securely in the cloud via Supabase.

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device and any Apple ID credentials used to access premium features, and for all activities under your account.

Section 3: Subscription Plans and Payment Terms

3.1 Service Tiers

Woolsy may offer free access to basic tools alongside premium auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock advanced features such as unlimited Smart PDF pattern conversions and full functional capabilities.

3.2 Billing and Payments

Subscription fees are charged through your Apple App Store account. Payments are processed securely via Apple and RevenueCat. Prices may change and will take effect for new subscriptions and renewals after any modification.

3.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed entirely by Apple's policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

Section 4: User Conduct and Content Guidelines

4.1 Acceptable Use Policy

• Use the Services only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Respect intellectual property rights in all content; do not upload copyrighted patterns you do not legally own the rights to use.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or modify the application.
• Do not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.

4.2 User-Generated Content

You retain full ownership of any PDFs, patterns, or data you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a license solely to store, process, and format this content locally to provide the App's features (such as generating Smart Patterns) to you.

Section 5: Data Privacy and Information Security

Woolsy is built on a privacy-first foundation. We do not collect behavioral tracking, analytics, or unnecessary personal data. Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we securely handle your local and limited cloud data.

Section 6: Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Application Ownership

Woolsy owns all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software, algorithms, user interface elements, trademarks, logos, and original tutorial content.

6.2 User License

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Woolsy for personal purposes. This license does not permit resale, redistribution, or commercial use.

Section 7: Service Limitations and Disclaimers

7.1 Feature & Craft Accuracy

Calculators, pattern conversions, and recommendations are provided for informational and educational purposes only. While we aim for high accuracy, results may vary due to differences in yarn, gauge, tools, and individual technique. Woolsy does not guarantee perfect crafting results.

Important Disclaimer: Woolsy does not provide professional tailoring, medical, or safety advice. Exercise caution and use knitting needles, crochet hooks, and related sharp tools responsibly. For injuries or health concerns, seek professional assistance.

Section 8: Liability Limitations and Indemnification

8.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woolsy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, or business opportunities resulting from your use of the application.

8.2 User Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Woolsy from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of this Agreement, or violation of any third-party rights (such as copyright infringement via uploaded patterns).

Section 9: Agreement Modifications and Termination

We may modify this Agreement at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of this Agreement. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Section 10: Miscellaneous Provisions

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy, constitutes the complete agreement between you and Woolsy regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Woolsy operates.
